Red Velvet Cake
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 oz food color (about 2 tbsp)
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add egg and liquids together and beat together until fluffy.
- Add in dry ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined.
- Heat oven to 350 and grease or line muffin cups or pans.
- Fill pans half full and bake until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Cool on rack.
- Frost with your choice of frosting (butter cream, cream cheese, etc.).
